Rock Climbing Nova Scotia
The initial guidebook for rope climbing in Nova Scotia in the last 15 years, “Rock Climbing Nova Scotia,” has been released. During this period, the number of crags and routes has nearly doubled, now boasting 701 routes and 50 crags.
To create this guide, the authors conducted extensive site visits, interviewed key figures involved in Nova Scotia’s climbing development, gathered rock samples, consulted with geology experts, and meticulously referenced all previously documented guides from 1976 onward.
The outcome is not just the most current climbing guide for the province but also the most comprehensive resource, offering insights into the geology of the crags and the rich history of climbing in this region.
